Kazakh President receives letter from US Counterpart

Nur-Sultan, 1 September 2021 (TDI): Kazakhstan President, Qasym-Jomart Toqayev
receives a letter from Joe Biden, President of the United States. President Biden congratulated President Tokayev on the 30th anniversary of the closure of the Semipalatinsk Nuclear Site.

The US President highlighted cooperation for the “Nunn-Lugar Cooperative Threat Reduction Program” in order to eliminate the legacy of Soviet Nuclear infrastructure in Kazakhstan. He also appreciated Kazakhstan’s steadfast commitment to nuclear security and non-proliferation.

Both parties look forward to working with full potential and bringing innovation in partnership.
