Dushanbe, 9 September 2021 (TDI): Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Tajikistan, Matthew Lawson wished Tajikistan on its 30th anniversary of Independence Day.
Tajikistan’s Independence Day, also known as the Day of State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, is the country’s most important national holiday.
The gesture of goodwill coming from the Ambassador will have a positive impact on the bilateral relationship between the UK and Tajikistan.
Tajikistan and the United Kingdom established diplomatic relations on January 15, 1992. The British Embassy in Dushanbe opened on December 20, 2001. Tajikistan’s Embassy in London opened on February 11, 2008.
Both states are developing steadily. It is of utmost importance to build beneficial bilateral ties in all fields, given both countries’ commitment and capabilities.
