Tajik Foreign Minister meets President of UNGA 76th Session

New York, 28 September 2021 (TDI): Tajik Foreign Minister, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, during his working visit to New York to attend the General Debates of the 76th UNGA, met with the Foreign Minister of Maldives and President of UNGA 76th Session, Abdulla Shahid.

During the discussion, the parties highlighted the importance of strengthening multilateral collaboration. They discussed a range of cooperation problems the world faces today that included security, sanitation, socio-economic, and humanitarian challenges.

Both sides talked about the recent events in Afghanistan, the battle against terrorism, and extremism. Moreover, both leaders shed light on combating the socio-economic consequences of the COVID-19 along with climate change and its effects on the environment. They expressed hope in each other’s services.
