Maldivian Foreign Minister meets Argentine Diplomat

New York, 28 September 2021 (TDI): Maldivian Foreign Minister and the President of 76th UNGA, Abdulla Shahid met with the President of the Assembly of States Parties to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, Silvia Fernandez de Gurmendi.

On the sidelines of the 76th UNGA, the two parties discussed important matters of international interest. They discussed the current security and political turmoil Afghanistan is going through. The main focus of the meeting was to address human rights violations taking place across the world. This included Kashmir, Afghanistan, and Palestine.

The Maldivian Foreign Minister was on board with the Argentine diplomat. He assured that under the Presidency of hope, human rights are of utmost significance. UNGA President’s reaffirming remarks are a ray of hope for everyone.
