Damascus, 11 August 2022 (TDI): Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Syria, Faisal Al Miqdad, made a phone call to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi.
During the call, Minister Al Miqdad expressed the importance Syria attaches to the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.
The talk also dealt with the situation in the Arab arena and the latest developments in the Middle Eastern Region.
The conversation between the officials also covered the means of promoting cooperation between Oman and Syria in various spheres.
They emphasized collaboration to enhance the two countries’ common interests. They also discussed means to realize the aspirations of their people.
The two ministers also agreed to continue communication to face current and future challenges in the Middle Eastern Region.

The talk emphasized the keenness of the two countries leaders to enhance and develop these relations in all fields.
During the talk, issues and the progress of Arab countries in various political, economic, and cultural fields were also discussed.
Both ministers also underscored the importance of dialogue and resolving issues through peaceful political solutions.
Resolving issues in this manner would contribute to security and stability while strengthening progress and prosperity in the region.
Remarks by Oman’s Foreign Minister
Minister Al Busaidi affirmed the Sultanate’s constant endeavor to find harmony and understanding among all Arab countries.
He also highlighted the Sultanate of Oman’s constant support for Syria’s role and position regionally and globally.
He further emphasized the importance of Syria’s stability and territorial integrity. Moreover, he also called on Syria to get rid of any foreign interference.
The Sultanate aims to achieve peace and stability in Syria and to promote bilateral relations for cooperation in various fields.
