Moscow, 31 August 2022 (TDI): The Syrian delegation won first place in the summer camp on a Dialogue of Cultures and Nationalities in the capital of the Russian Republic of Mordovia, Saransk, on Tuesday.

The camp for the dialogue of cultures and nationalities for youth was held from August 24 to 28. Dialogue of Cultures is a youth camp organized by the Federal Agency for Nationality Affairs of the Russian Federation in cooperation with the International Charity Public Fund.

The main goal of the camp is to create an intercultural space for young people to develop their competencies in managing interethnic and intercultural projects.

Directed and produced by the Ministry of Culture, a number of Syrian students from the Higher Institute of Dramatic and Cinema Arts presented distinguished shows.

Stanislav Bedkin, Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Nationalities Affairs of the Russian Federation, greeted the students and exchanged thoughts on the importance of diversity of cultures, better communication, and exchange of thoughts and ideas.

The Minister of Culture, National Policy, and Archives of the Russian Republic of Mordovia, Svetlana Paulina, also conveyed greetings to the participants from the President of Mordovia, Artyom Zdunov.

The student Ward Ajeeb from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts presented a performance on the stage of the National Dramatic Theater about the character of Trebelev from Antoine Chekhov’s ‘The Seagull play.’

Moreover, Nour Khair al-Anam, a student from the Higher Institute of Cinematic Arts, presented the amusement park film directed and produced by the Ministry of Culture.

During the summer camp, dialogues have exchanged for the preservation of language and culture. They also discussed the development programmes, as well as, the preservation of national languages.

The summer camp was attended by 150 representatives from the Russian regions, in addition to a delegation from Syria.
