Budapest, 13 April 2023 (TDI): The Belarusian-Hungarian business forum successfully took place, bringing together more than 70 enterprises from both countries representing various sectors of the economy and business structures.
The forum aimed to foster economic cooperation between the two nations. It was designed to investigate mutual investment and trade prospects. Attendees included government officials from both countries and representatives of leading Belarusian and Hungarian businesses.
Sergei Aleinik, Belarus’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated in the event. He emphasized the significance of the business forum in strengthening the economic ties between the two countries.
During his speech, Aleinik stressed that the Belarus government is committed to expanding commercial links between Hungary and Belarus. He underlined the enormous possibilities for sectoral cooperation. He affirmed that both governments would assist enterprises in both countries to collaborate more.
Furthermore, he noted, “We see Hungary as an important partner in the European Union. We believe the Belarusian-Hungarian Business Forum will strengthen our countries’ economic and trade cooperation.”

The forum provided a platform for participants to exchange ideas, discuss new technologies, and establish new partnerships. It included plenary sessions, B2B meetings, and networking opportunities for attendees.
Business experts from both countries shared their perspectives on economic cooperation and investment potential. The speakers discussed several issues of mutual interest, including the expansion of bilateral trade opportunities and cooperation in various sectors such as agriculture, energy, transport, and logistics.
Hungarian participants shared their insights into these subjects. The Belarussian participants exhibited new technology and goods which could assist the Hungarian market.
The event concluded with a networking reception, where participants connected and examined possible partnerships.
One of the key outcomes of the forum was the signing several agreements between Belarusian and Hungarian companies. These included deals on joint ventures, technology transfer, and investment in various sectors such as agriculture, IT, and construction.
The agreements are expected to enhance economic cooperation between the two countries further and create new opportunities for growth and development.
