Colombo, 2 October 2021 (TDI): Sri Lankan Education Minister, Dinesh Gunawardena held a meeting with the Director-General for South Asia, Kenichi Yokoyama, and Country Director, Chen Chen of “Asian Development Bank.”
The meeting was held at the Education Ministry. The officials discussed the upcoming Summit of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Colombo. They discussed the agendas of the 55th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of ADB. The subject for that is going to be “Positioning a Climate-resilient Green Economy for the Post-Covid World.”
Moreover, the two sides also shed light on the education systems. They talked about introducing updated teacher training programs. The plan is to promote rapid development through the education and training of people.
