Cape Town, 16 November 2021 (TDI): Intra-Africa Trade Fair (IATF) started yesterday and will end on 21 November in South Africa.
African Export-Import Bank in collaboration with the African Union (AU) and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) organize the IATF 2021 in Durban, South Africa.
Head of state, government officials, entrepreneurs, business delegations, and financial experts will participate in the event.
Furthermore, IATF will boost trade in the African continent. IATF 2021 gives a forum for linking investors, sellers, and international buyers to share market information and investment opportunities. Besides, it will support the economic integration of the African continent and Intra-African trade.

The main focus of the IATF 2021 is the newly-launched African Continental Free Trade Area (AFCFTA). It is the initiative of the African Union (AU).
Furthermore, it creates a single market of the African continent for services and goods, with free movement of investments and business people. Besides, AFCFTA brings 55 countries of the African continent with a combined population of more than 1.2 Billion and a GDP of US$2.5 trillion.
South African President Cyril Ramaphosa gives a keynote at the opening of the event. Moreover, the Premier of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government, Sihle Zikalala, warmly welcomed high-profile dignitaries and the thousands of delegates, including 15 Heads of State.
Almost, US$40 billion of investment and trade deals will be finalized in the event. Moreover, IATF provides an opportunity for South African businesses to access the market of the African continent.
