Nur-Sultan, 11 October 2021 (TDI): Ivon Korcok, the Foreign Minister of Slovakia met with Qasym-Jomart Toqayev, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Slovak Foreign Minister was on his official visit to Kazakhstan.
On 11 October 2021, he met with the Kazakh President in Nur-Sultan, the capital of Kazakhstan. They discussed bilateral relations and agreed on increasing their bilateral trade. During the meeting, they emphasized expanding relations in economic cooperation by increasing investment opportunities.

They also debated on the recent developments in Afghanistan. Kazakhstan is a Central Asian state and Central Asian security directly depends upon the stability of Afghanistan.
The Slovak Foreign Minister also appreciated the reforms taken by the Republic of Kazakhstan for modernizing the country. The Kazakh President also highlighted his efforts to combat the Coronavirus pandemic. He also mentioned the Kazakh humanitarian aid provided to Afghanistan.
On his visit to Kazakhstan, the Slovak Foreign Minister also met with his Kazakh counterpart. The counterparts discussed the uncertain situation of Afghanistan and its impact on the Central Asian region. They also agreed on expanding the bilateral relations by increasing economic cooperation.
Moreover, during his visit, he also met with the Senate Speaker and Speaker of Majlis of Kazakhstan. The meetings emphasized expanding parliamentary cooperation. The two countries look forward to strengthening their bilateral relations.
