Singapore, 29 October 2021 (TDI): Singapore’s Prime Minister, Lee Hsien embarked on a visit to Rome, Italy. The purpose of the visit is to attend the upcoming G20 Summit. The visit will last till 1 November.

The Singaporean Prime Minister was invited by his Italian counterpart, Mario Draghi. Italy will be presiding the 2021 G20 Summit.

Lee Hsien will also hold bilateral meetings with other heads of the states; on the sidelines of the Summit. Italy has based this year’s Agenda of the Summit on three main pillars; “People, Planet and Prosperity”.

Other State Officials including the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Singapore, Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan will also attend the Summit.

The Minister for Finance, Lawrence Wong is also accompanying the Singaporean delegation.

Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore, Heng Swee Keat, will take charge in the absence of  Prime Minister Lee Hsien.
