Doha, 29 October 2021 (TDI): Singapore’s Minister in the Prime Minister Office, Dr. Mohamad Osman Maliki met with the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, today.

Dr. Maliki has been on a week long working visit to Arab countries including UAE, KSA and Qatar. He will spend 2 days in Doha. During his visit, the Minister met with the Minister of State for Defense Affairs, Dr. Khalid Bin Mohamed Al Attiyah, as well.

Dr. Osman reaffirmed continuity in the bilateral ties with Qatar, for mutual benefit. He also appreciated Qatar for its strong support for the deployment of the Republic of Singapore Air Force’s aircraft; the A330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport aircraft .

The aircraft had evacuated Afghans from the Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar to the Ramstein Air Base in Germany. Singaporean representative held separate meetings with the Minister of Finance, Ali Bin Ahmed Al Kuwari and Minister of Education and Higher Education, Buthaina Binte Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi.

He also met with the National Security Advisor to Emir; Mohammed Bin Ahmed Al Misnad. Earlier, The senior diplomat visited the UAE and KSA, where he met with high-level dignitaries of respective states.
