Silk Road Culture Center unveiled in Quetta

Quetta, 29 January 2022 (TDI): Silk Road Culture Center has been unveiled in Quetta today. Syed Zahoor Ahmed Agha, the Governor of Balochistan performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The Culture Center is a wonderful gift in the anticipation of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics & the Chinese New Year Celebrations. The Center is a true manifestation of friendship between Ironclad brothers; China and Pakistan.

The Ambassador of China to Pakistan, Ambassador Nong Rong, also delivered a recorded speech for the inauguration ceremony of the Silk Road Culture Center in Quetta. Likewise, he appreciated the support extended by the Governor of Balochistan and Jamal Shal, the former Director-General of Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), for the venture.

The Silk Road Culture Centre aims to rejuvenate cultural collaboration along the historical Silk Road. The vision is to take inspiration from the Silk Road to enhance cultural exchanges.

In addition, the objective of the Culture Center is to provide a platform for the promotion of a greater understanding of cultural diversity as well as cross-cultural affinities for peace and advancement.

The Culture Center in Quetta will endeavor to connect cultures so as to facilitate the development and exchange of policies, knowledge, research, and practices that will contribute to the peace and progress in Pakistan as well as the Silk Road region.
