Beijing, 20 March 2024 (TDI): Vice-Chairperson of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Shen Yueyue attended a group discussion at the second session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee.
During the meeting, Shen Yueyue, pointed out that under the guidance of the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era, China’s economy saw recovery and growth in 2023 along with effectively ensuring the well-being of people.
Furthermore, she underscored that steady progress has been made in pursuing high quality development and building China into a modern socialist country in all respects in the new era.
Moreover, she emphasized that it is necessary to firmly uphold the “Two Establishings”, namely, establishing Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole.
Also, establishing the guiding role of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era, and firmly deliver on the “Two Upholds”, namely, to uphold Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole, and uphold the Central Committee’s authority and its centralized, unified leadership.
In addition, she called for enhancing cohesion and forging the Party’s soul with the Party’s new theories, consciously adhering to the centralized and unified leadership of the CPC Central Committee.

Besides, fully leveraging the CPPCC’s role as a specialized consultative body to pool wisdom and strength in promoting high-quality development, safeguarding people’s livelihoods, boosting confidence, and advancing Chinese modernization.
Members of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) participated in group meetings to discuss documents, including the Government Work Report, and review the work report of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee.
