Riyadh, 25 October 2022 (TDI): The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, attended the Future Investment Initiative Summit in Riyadh on Tuesday. The purpose of the summit was to discuss the challenges of the global economy.

The Prime Minister is in Saudi Arabia at the invitation of the Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdul Aziz. He also met several world dignitaries and business leaders at the summit.
Moreover, Shehbaz Sharif also presented Pakistan’s viewpoint on ways to address economic challenges. He will also hold consultations with Mohammed Bin Salman to review the longstanding fraternal relations.
The consultations will focus on further strengthening the multifaceted cooperation, especially in the economic field.
The Prime Minister said at the summit that clean energy potential would be the new driver of economic prosperity. Moreover, he also stressed the world community to come forward and support those joint efforts.
Shehbaz said that “Nothing could be of more importance to us than this very challenge: how to ensure that our collective tomorrow is better than our today.”
“Yes bold, decisive and consequential action. But the pace of transformation and change was never as swift as it is today.
With the power of technology driving the world towards a future few could imagine in the past, we are well positioned to harness the dynamics of change.” He added.

Shehbaz said that “I believe Pakistan is uniquely placed to leverage this change. We have one of the youngest populations in the world. Most of these youngsters are equipped with the tools of the new digital world.”
Prime Minister’s visit to Saudi Arabia
Shehbaz Sharif landed in Saudi Arabia on Monday at the invitation of Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman. He was received at the airport by the Governor of Riyadh, Faisal Bin Bandar Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud.
