Security Forces Kill 4 Suicide Bombers in Northwest Pakistan

Peshawar, September 3 2024 (TDI): Security forces have killed four suicide bombers who attempted to attack a Frontier Corps headquarters in a northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, said a military statement on Saturday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), media wing of the Pakistan Army, the incident occurred in the early hours of September 6, 2024, when the group of four militants tried to breach the camp in Mohmand district.

The ISPR confirmed that the security forces successfully thwarted the attack, killing all four bombers before they could inflict any damage.

A sanitization operation is now underway to ensure no other militants remain in the area.

The ISPR said that Pakistan’s security forces remain steadfast in their mission to eradicate terrorism from the country.

Earlier on August 30, the Pak Army have killed 12 terrorists in extensive intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Tirah Valley, Khyber District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to a statement from Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on August 28 and 29, the security forces engaged “Khawarji” locations in the valley where an intense exchange of fire took place between own troops and terrorists.

On September 4, Security forces have killed at least five terrorists in a series of Intelligence-Based Operations (IBOs) conducted in southwestern Balochistan, said to a military statement released on Friday.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), media wing of the Pakistan Army, said that the operations, which targeted areas in Kech, Panjgur, and Zhob districts, resulted in the deaths of five terrorists.

The successful operations come in response to a series of terrorist incidents in Balochistan on August 26, which left over 50 people, including 14 soldiers, dead.

In retaliation operation, Security forces had hunted and killed 21 terrorists involved in coordinated deadly attacks .
