Bishkek September 07 (TDI): Kyrgyzstan has removed the Afghanistan’s Taliban from its list of banned organization to continue dialogue with Taliban in larger interest of the regional stability.
Officials said that after the decision that was taken Taliban were removed from terrorists’ list and almost all concerned department took part in deliberation in this regard before making changes in the list of the banned organizations.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyz republic stated, “the decision was made to remove the Taliban movement from the list of banned organizations…. after a careful review and comprehensive assessment by the competent state bodies of the country. This decision is aimed at strengthening regional stability and continuing the dialogue….”
Prior to the statement by the Kargyz official, a message was published on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, thanking Kyrgyzstan for its decision.

A court in Kyrgyzstan found Taliban as terrorist organization and its operation was subsequently banned in the country.
The government in Kyrgyzstan has published a fresh list of the banned organizations.
The following religious associations are prohibited from operating as terrorist and extremist organizations in Kyrgyzstan by the court’s decision: “Al-Qaeda”, “East Turkestan Islamic Movement”, “Kurdish People’s Congress” (Kongra-El),
“East Turkestan Liberation Organization”, “Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami” (Islamic Liberation Party), “Jihad Group” (Union of Islamic Jihad), “Turkstan Islamic Party” (Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan), “Mun Church”, “Jaishul-Mahdi” (Army of the Mahdi), ” Jund-Al-Khalifat”, “Ansarullah” (Helpers of Allah),
“At-Takfirwal-Hijra”, “Acromiya”, “Propaganda-propaganda materials and activity of Said Buryatsky (A. Tikhomirov)”, “Ishim – Islamic State of Iraq, Sham ” (ISIL), “Jabhat Al-Nusra” (Victory Front),
“Katibat Al-Imam Al-Bukhari” (Imam Bukhari Battalion), “Jannat Oshiklari” (Aspirants to Paradise), “Jamaat At-Tawheed wal-Jihad”, “Close denial”.
Name of Taliban, who ruled Afghanistan in 1996-2001 and then ousted by the US-led allies as a result of its declared war on terror, was not published in fresh list.
Taliban took power again after 20 years, in August 2021, after the American troops left the country.
