Secretary Blinken’s statement on Kabul Attack

-

Washington, 27 August 2021 (TDI): The US Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken expressed his condolences to the victims of the Kabul Airport attack and called them heroes.
The State Department, in its statement, appreciated the US servicemen and all those who have helped the US government in its mission. So far, a hundred thousand people have been evacuated from Afghanistan which shows the dedication of these servicemen. It said that the recent destructive attack on the Kabul Airport showed the difficulty of working in Afghanistan. It requires bravery and determination to work in such dangerous conditions for protecting American and foreign citizens. The 2300 US servicemen who died in America’s longest war in Afghanistan are a source of honor. The State Department will always be grateful for their sacrifices.
