Washington, 13 August 2021 (TDI): The US Secretary of State Antony Blinken held telephonic contact with German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas and Canadian Foreign Minister Marc Garneau. He exchanged views about the US support for Afghanistan.
Blinken also called former Prime Minister of Norway and current Secretary-General NATO Jens Stoltenberg to talk on the same subject. He discussed the ongoing security situation in Afghanistan with them. He reiterated US commitment to provide a political solution to the Afghan issue through its diplomatic efforts.
