Cairo, 8 November 2021 (TDI): Sheikh Saud Bin Abdullah Al-Muajab, Saudi Arabia’s Attorney General, attends a worldwide forum on transnational crime. This is the International Conference on the Role of Public Prosecution Agencies and Public Prosecution Bodies in Combating Transnational Crimes. It is also the Assembly of Arab Parliamentarians’ gathering.
Sheikh Al-Muajab was greeted by Egypt’s Prosecutor General Counselor Hamada El-Sawy upon his arrival in Egypt. The conference is being attended by a large number of public prosecutors. This also intends to debate how to tackle transnational crimes, terrorism, and human trafficking. Also discussed are methods for developing processes for reciprocal legal aid, extradition requests, and information sharing.

The Assembly of Arab Representatives is organizing the conference in collaboration with Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (NAUSS), the International Organization for Migration, and the Counter-Terrorism Project in the Middle East and North Africa. The conference will feature a meeting of the Assembly of Arab Representatives and the Assembly of African Representatives. As well as a number of general and bilateral discussions aimed at strengthening judicial cooperation mechanisms.
