Islamabad (TDI): Federal Minister for Petroleum Dr Musadik Malik said on Thursday that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman’s Vision 2030 perfectly aligns with the incumbent government’s economic goals.
He made these remarks while addressing the Pak-Saudi Business Forum 2024 in Islamabad where he outlined investment prospects.
The minister said Pakistan and the Kingdom had deep-rooted ties, and it was about time that the two countries shifted from traditional friendship to a partnership in growth.
“We’re moving towards comprehensive security – in food, economy, and energy,” he said.

Musadik said he wanted to integrate Pakistan into global value chains so the country could embrace the industrial 4.0 revolution.
“Our shared values, rooted in Islamic traditions, enhance our collaboration,” he added, noting Pakistan’s appeal for tourism to Saudi families.
The minister promised to simplify bureaucratic processes, offering a ‘red carpet’ instead of red tape.
Musadik pointed out that Pakistan’s copper is the key to the world’s move to electric power, and working with Saudi Arabia’s smelting skills could be a big win for both countries.
