Saudi Arabia has made a substantial political investment in the Transitional Military Council (TMC) on the basis of security analysis, despite the economic calculations, and the additional pressure from their own economic advisers and businessmen who are investing in Sudanese positions.

After the event, Saudi Press Agency reported that the meeting between the two leaders was positive for the improvement of diplomatic relations and to demonstrate that the Saudi government is seeking cooperation with Sudanese leaders in providing support.
