Rawalpindi, 8 February 2022 (TDI): Prince Abdulaziz Bin Saud Bin Naif Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Interior Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) met with the Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan (COAS), General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

The meeting was held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi. During the meeting, the two officials discussed matters pertaining to regional security, mutual interest, the current situation in Afghanistan as well as bilateral defense relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
General Qamar Javed Bajwa reiterated that Pakistan values its historical and fraternal ties with KSA. Moreover, he acknowledged the unique place of Saudi Arabia in the Islamic world.
The Saudi Interior Minister on his part lauded Pakistan’s role in the Afghan situation as well as the special efforts for border management. In addition, he appreciated Pakistans proactive role in regional stability.
Prince Abdulaziz Bin Saud Bin Naif Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud committed to play his part for further improvement in diplomatic collaboration with Pakistan at all levels.
The Saudi Interior Minister is on an official visit to Pakistan. He arrived yesterday and was received by the Interior Minister of Pakistan, Sheikh Rasheed. Whilst here, he met with the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan, respectively.
Under the direction of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince, and based on the distinguished relations and continuous cooperation between our two brotherly countries, I had the pleasure of visiting the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

During his meetings with President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan, he discussed issues pertaining to joint interest. Both sides reaffirmed working in close collaboration to boost bilateral ties for mutual advantages.
