Abu Dhabi, 1 November 2022 (TDI): Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Energy, Abdulaziz bin Salman addressed the opening ceremony of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference (ADIPEC), on Monday.

During his address, he affirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) is utilizing every method to achieve its goal of zero carbon emission and developing clean hydrogen with efforts in increasing the refining rates.

He said that the government of KSA was working with the United Arab Emirates (UAE), exerting on climate change issues.

In this context, he shared that Saudi and UAE governments were collaborating on various ventures to achieve the goal of sustainable development along with finding solutions to climate change.

While discussing the global energy crisis he said that nations should work together to achieve the goal of energy conservation for future use. He further stressed the need to harness existing investments and technologies for a more sustainable world.

Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE’s Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and Managing Director & Group CEO of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) also addressed the forum.

While addressing the participants he stated that global challenges like geopolitical fluctuations and high inflation global challenges were faced by the energy sector.

He further advocated the issue of the natural decline in the production capacity, while saying that it will result in the energy market losing annual production at a rate of five million barrels of oil per day.

The need to invest in hydrocarbon resources is more than ever, he added. Likewise, the energy market is facing turmoil globally, and the need to invest in hydrocarbon resources is more than ever.
