Nur-Sultan, 11 August 2022 (TDI): A Saudi Energy Firm, ACWA Power, one of the world’s leading companies in the field of renewable energy sources, has announced its plans to invest in Kazakhstan.

Officials of ACWA Power along with its Chief Investment Officer, Clive Turton, held a meeting with the Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Kazakhistan’s Foreign Ministry and Chairman of the Board of Kazakhstan Invest, Ardak Zebeshev.
During this meeting, Clive Turton noted that Kazakhstan has a great amount of potential in the field of renewable energy. Chief Investment Officer Turton said “Relations with the Republic of Kazakhstan are very important for us.
In order to implement the project, we plan to open an office in your country. We take it seriously and intend to implement the wind farm project”.
From the Kazakhstan side, Ardak Zebeshev recalled the moment when the President visited Saudi Arabia. He said the President expressed his interest in using the Saudi experience in renewable energy sources.
Chairman Zebeshev further said that the Kazakhstan authorities are ready to provide full support to ACWA Power in their investment in the country.
Another high-ranking official from the Kazakh national company of Invest Kazakhstan briefed about Kazakhstan’s renewable energy sources plan.
He said large new renewable energy facilities are important for Kazakhstan given the carbon neutrality goal of the country by 2060.
