President of Kazakhstan meets Saudi Crown Prince.

Riyadh, 25 July 2022: Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, held talks with visiting Kazakhstan President, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, in Jeddah on Saturday.

Both the leaders discussed enhancing the cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan in various fields. Both leaders also discussed several issues of common interest.

The leader of Kazakhstan arrived in Jeddah on Saturday night and was received at the airport by Makkah’s Governor, Prince Khalid Al Faisal.

Other dignitaries and officials present at the King Abdulaziz International Airport included Environment and Water Minister, Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen, and some other officials.

An official reception ceremony was then held for Kazakh President at the Royal Court at Al Salam Palace. After this, a session of talks was organized.

The session was attended by high-ranking government officials from both sides. Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Energy, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, and the Minister of National Guard, Prince Abdullah bin Bandar. From Kazakhstan’s side, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mukhtar Tleuberdi, and some other important government officials also attended the session.

Saudi-Kazakhstan Investment Meeting

Saudi Ministry of Investment also organized the Saudi-Kazakh Investment Forum on Sunday. Attendees at the forum included Kazakh President and Saudi Investment Minister, Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, among other important government officials and dignitaries.

The meeting discussed the most promising investment sectors between the two countries. The points of discussion for investment included renewable energy, petrochemicals, water desalination, mining, and food security. Major projects related to Saudi Kingdom’s Vision 2030 were also discussed.

Both countries also agreed to boost their bilateral ties and cooperation in several sectors. For this purpose, an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) has been signed between the two countries. The two countries also signed MoUs in the fields of medicine, sports, tourism, and finance, as per Saudi Foreign Ministry.
