Abu Dhabi, 9 December 2021 (TDI): The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia has paid a visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman met the UAE Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Zayed in Abu Dhabi.

UAE also conferred its highest civilian award to the Saudi Crown Prince. He arrived in the UAE on Tuesday on the second phase of his tour to Gulf Cooperation Council nations. Mohammed Bin Salman spent the previous day in Muscat, Oman.

Mohammed Bin Salman was welcomed by Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan. The plane landed at the Presidential Airport in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the Emirates. Moreover, it is the first visit of the Saudi crown prince to UAE since November 2019.

‘Order of Zayed’ awarded to Saudi Crown Prince

The Emirati Crown Prince also presented the ‘Order of Zayed’ to his Saudi counterpart on behalf of UAE President, Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed, in recognition of services for developing strong bilateral ties. Heads of States including Presidents, Prime Ministers, and Kings are recipients of such awards.

In addition, regional and issues of mutual interests along with significance of Joint Gulf and Arab action were discussed. The Crown Princes also discussed ‘well-established brotherly relations and bilateral cooperation paths and the promising development opportunities in various fields.’

Various stakeholders included in Saudi delegation

The members of Saudi delegation included Stakeholders from diverse backgrounds. The participants included delegates from both sides conjunction with the Saudi crown prince’s visit. The Council of Saudi Chambers, the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a Saudi-Emirati Business Forum in Abu Dhabi. The participants included business owners and representatives of government and private agencies in both countries.

The crown prince of Saudi Arabia is on a five-day regional tour. He will also Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait.
