Belgrade, 11 October 2021 (TDI): The Foreign Minister of Russia, Sergey Lavrov arrived in Serbia. He was welcomed by the President of the National Assembly of Serbia, Ivica Dačić at the airport.
Lavrov was scheduled to meet with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, so the ministers headed to the presidential palace. The Russian Foreign Minister was warmly welcomed by the President. They also held a joint press conference that shed light on some important matters of bilateral interest.
History, culture, religion, and shared languages bind Russia and Serbia. Economic and friendly ties brought them together. Serbia had requested Russian assistance in combating the virus. A Russian team disinfected medical institutions in over 40 cities and towns across Serbia. Moreover, they decontaminated 376 buildings from April 3 and May 18. Meeting between officials will help strengthen bilateral relations between Serbia and Russia.
