Islamabad (TDI): Russia has confirmed its participation in the upcoming Inter-Parliamentary Speakers Conference (ISC) in Islamabad, scheduled in November.

The event, described by organizers as the first event of its kind, is set to bring together parliamentary leaders from 45 countries to address key global challenges including faith, interfaith harmony, and climate change.

Russia’s participation is being hailed as a significant boost to the credibility and impact of the conference.

According to Misbah Khar, Ambassador to the ISC, Russia’s involvement underscores the growing international recognition of parliamentary diplomacy as a force for peace and cooperation.

“This conference is not just a diplomatic gathering; it is a global call for peace, cooperation, and collective climate action,” Khar said. “Russia’s presence, as a major global player, sends a powerful message about the importance of unity across nations, faiths, and political systems.”
