Moscow (TDI): Russia has expressed concern over the latest clashes along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

In a statement on Friday, ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said the clashes, involving regular army units, aircraft, and heavy weaponry, have resulted in casualties and injuries on both sides, including among civilians.

Zakharova urged both Afghanistan and Pakistan to avoid further confrontations and to return to political and diplomatic channels to resolve their differences. She emphasized the importance of dialogue in preventing the situation from escalating further.

Pakistan on Thursday carried out a forceful military attack against Afghan Taliban positions after what officials described as unprovoked cross-border aggression, launching Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq and inflicting heavy losses on the enemy.
