Organized with the support of the Romanian National Archives and the Diplomatic Archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania, the exhibition offers a rare glimpse into six decades of bilateral cooperation and friendship.
The showcase will later travel to Islamabad and Peshawar, allowing audiences in all three cities to explore key moments of Romania–Pakistan history through compelling visuals.
Cultural performances will take center stage as Romanian soprano Georgiana Costea Glugă performs at the World Culture Festival in Karachi on November 4, bringing the charm of Romanian opera to Pakistani audiences.
The following day, the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi will host an opera workshop and screenings of acclaimed Romanian films. Also featured at the World Culture Festival is Ballet Beyond Borders, a dance performance celebrating artistic diversity and collaboration, including Romanian participants.
Beyond performances, the initiative underscores Romania’s dedication to educational and cultural exchange.

The Embassy will donate a collection of Romanian literature, art, and history books to both the National Library of Pakistan and the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) in Islamabad, with the support of the Romanian Cultural Institute.
NUML will inaugurate the Romanian Language Lectorate, led by Professor Dr. Oana Ursache. The fully funded program, supported by the Romanian Language Institute (ILR) and the Romanian Ministry of Education and Research, will introduce Pakistani students to the Romanian language, literature, and culture.
Professor Ursache will also deliver a special lecture on Queen Marie of Romania, marking the 150th anniversary of her birth, followed by a screening of the documentary “Marie – Heart of Romania.”
Organized in partnership with leading cultural and academic institutions, including the Romanian Cultural Institute, ILR, Pakistan-Romania Business Council, and Pakistan-Romania Friendship Association, the Romanian Culture Days will be an exciting introduction to the country’s culture for Pakistani people.
Established in December 2008, The Diplomatic Insight is Pakistan’s premier diplomacy and foreign affairs magazine, available in both digital and print formats.
