Review Workshop on Ehsaas Nashonuma Program with WFP

Islamabad, 2 September 2021 (TDI): A review workshop of Ehsaas Nashonuma, a collaboration of WFP Pakistan & Ehsaas was held.

In the meeting, the progress report of Ehsaas Nashonuma was presented. The progress shows that with the help of the program 50 Facilitation Centers in 15 districts of Pakistan have been developed since 2020. Leading Ehsaas program, Sania Nishtar, Global Health advocate and Special Assistant of the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection was also part of the workshop.

Ms. Sania encouraged the need to expand the Ehsaas Nashonuma Program. The expansion will help to prevent Stunting in Children under the age of two. Additionally, Ms. Sania Nishtar said the expansion of the program will facilitate pregnant and lactating women. They will be aware to combat inadequate psychosocial stimulation and impaired growth in their children, Added Ehsaas program leader.

Ehsaas Nashonuma’s venture until now has stretched over 54,000 children, pregnant & lactating women (PLW) through its facilitation center. The program is operational in all the provinces of Pakistan to facilitate women and Children.
