Caracas, 28 July 2022 (TDI): Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, met the Vice-President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Dr Delcy Rodriguez, on Thursday.
The meeting between the two dignitaries took place during the current visit of Abdulrahman Al-Thani to Venezuela. During the meeting, both sides reviewed bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries.

Moreover, the two sides also discussed ways to support and further develop this partnership. The two sides noted ways to enhance bilateral ties in the fields of air, transport, trade and investment.
Additionally, the two sides also discussed ways to encourage partnership between businessmen from both countries, especially in the field of agriculture.
Further, the dignitaries also encouraged partnership on strategic partnerships related to food security, including the exchange of information in this domain.
In addition to this, the Deputy Prime Minister of Qatar also met the President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro. Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani conveyed the greetings of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, to the President of Venezuela.

Qatar-Venezuela Bilateral Ties
Qatar and Venezuela have good historical relations of cooperation and a strong partnership that has developed and strengthened over the years.
In recent years, the relations between the two have witnessed great progress in many fields. These include trade, economic investment and tourism.
Additionally, the two sides have also strengthened their partnership in the oil and gas sector, culture, education and field air services.
