Beijing, 8 February 2022 (TDI): The People’s Republic of China and the Principality of Monaco has always maintained a positive, healthy, and friendly relationship, with the exchange of different entities of relevance and benefits.
Although both the countries comprise of different sizes, geographic distances, historical and cultural diversification. Relations between the two countries have been on a steady journey since 2013.
Both countries endeavor to keep the momentum of development in the shape of import, cultural exchanges with China becoming the 4th largest source of import.
Prince Albert’s recent visit to China at the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics Games is significant since this is his 11th visit to China where he was relieved with warmth.
President of China Xi Jinping met Prince Albert II of Monaco on the afternoon of the 6th of February 2022 at the Great Hall of People in Beijing.
During the meeting, Xi Jinping delightfully recollected his state visit to Monaco in 2019 China and Monaco have gained new avenues of development with bilateral exchanges in the field of communications, environmental protection, sports, and arts.
He further expressed both countries have co-established a 5G network in Monaco and appreciated remarkable achievements in exchanging friendly and mutual exchanges.
Xi Jinping stressed the importance of consolidation of mutual trust and communication as well as coordination among multilateral organizations like the United Nations and international organizations to jointly promote multilateralism.
China welcomes Monaco’s participation in the Belt and Road Initiative. Xi Jinping welcomed and appreciated Monaco’s participation in the 2nd phase of the 15th meeting of the conference of the parties to the convention on biological diversity.
Whilst Prince Albert on his part congratulated China for hosting a friendly opening ceremony of Olympic Winter Games 2022. The great event certainly disseminated a positive message across the world to ensure peace and solidarity.
Albert stated that Monaco still remembers Xi Jinping’s visit to Monaco and he will continue this peaceful relationship with China and benefit from its contributions to world peace and development which is undoubtedly the need of the hour.
