Prime Minister of Slovakia visits Greece

Athens, 1 October 2021 (TDI): Eduard Heger, the Slovakian Prime Minister visited Greece and met with Katerina Sakellaropoulou, the President of Greece

The Slovakian Prime Minister congratulated the President of Greece on its 200th anniversary of independence day. In the meeting, they emphasized expanding their bilateral relations. They talked about the common European values and the solutions to the problems they are facing collectively. They agreed on collaborating on the European Union agenda.
The Slovakian Prime Minister assured his support for Greece by sending firefighters to Greece to control the expanding fire in the forests of the Attika region.
This shows their partnership on the climate change crisis. Greece welcomed the efforts of Slovakia. The two countries also agreed to strengthen their cooperation in other fields such as energy, crisis management, migration, tourism and many more.
