Brussels, 15 September 2021 (TDI): Prime Minister of Belgium Alexander De Croo meets with European Council President Charles Michel. The two discuss the European agenda for the next months. Prime Minister De Croo noted that he had a fruitful discussion with European Council President Charles Michel regarding COVID-19, Afghanistan, the rule of law, green transition, and economic recovery.
The European Council is a group that determines the European Union’s main political objectives and policies. It consists of the EU member states’ heads of state or government, as well as the Presidents of the European Council and the European Commission. The European Council’s primary objective is to promote peace and the well-being of EU citizens. To provide freedom, security, and justice to EU people without internal boundaries while still managing external borders.
