Beijing, 8 March 2022 (TDI): President of China, Xi Jinping, expressed condolences to the President of Pakistan, Arif Alvi, over a terrorist attack during congregation prayers in Peshawar, Pakistan. Chinese President send a message on March 7.

As per the message, President Xi Jinping was shocked to hear about the deadly terrorist attack. Unfortunately, the terrorist attack has caused heavy casualties as well. In this message, on behalf of the Chinese Government and People, the Chinese President extended condolences to the victim families.

On March 4, a suicide blast claimed 56 lives inside a mosque in Peshawar, Pakistan. In addition to that, the attack injured more than 190 people. It is pertinent to note that some of the injured ones are in a critical phase.

Along these lines, the Chinese President supported the efforts of the government of Pakistan and the people to combat terrorism and maintain national stability. The Chinese side also applauded the Pakistani government for protecting the lives of people.

Condolences of Chinese Premier and Foreign Minister

Similarly, Chinese Premier, Li Keqiang, also expressed condolences to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan on the same day. Moreover, Chinese Foreign Minister and State Councilor, Wang Yi, also shared a message of condolence to the Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi.

Message of Pakistani Prime Minister

Considering the current state of affairs, Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, stated that he is monitoring the operations to control the situation. Besides, he remarked that he is coordinating with law enforcement agencies and Counter-Terrorism Department as well.

He further highlighted that he has all the information about the origin of the whereabouts of terrorists. Meanwhile, he also offered condolences to the families of victims and prayed for their recovery.

Considering the current state of events, Prime Minister, Imran Khan mentioned that he has asked KP Chief Minister to visit the families and fulfill their needs.
