Astana, 9 June 2023 (TDI): President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan had a productive meeting today with Zeljka Cvijanovic, Chairman of the Presidium of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The meeting was held in Astana’s Presidential Palace, Akorda. President Tokayev welcomed Chairman Zeljka warmly and expressed his appreciation for her active involvement in the Astana International Forum.
President Tokayev recognized during the meeting that this visit offers essential potential for developing bilateral relationships and implementing mutually advantageous collaboration on various issues. He emphasized that Kazakhstan sees Bosnia and Herzegovina as a prospective trade and economic partner in Southeastern Europe and the Balkans.
Chairman Cvijanovic expressed her gratitude for the cordial welcome, hospitality, and invitation to participate in the Astana International Forum. She emphasized the significance of the meeting, where new strategies for international collaboration and the state of the world economy were revealed.
Both leaders had good conversations about a range of issues on the global and regional agenda. The conversations were carried out fruitfully and substantially, demonstrating trust and understanding. A decision was made to revive bilateral cooperation, further solidifying relations between Kazakhstan and Bosnia & Herzegovina.
