President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi arrived in Dubai

Dubai, 11 October 2021 (TDI): The President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi undertook a two-day visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). He had wide-ranging engagements from 9 to 10 October 2021.

President Alvi officially inaugurated the Pakistan Pavilion in Dubai Expo 2020. Pakistan Pavilion with a theme ‘Pakistan The Hidden Treasure’ is successfully representing Pakistan. It comprises of eight key spaces- country’s history, culture, religious diversity, landscape, among others. The Pavilion has received over 30,000 visitors so far.

He met heads of leading investment and technology firms in Dubai.

He addressed an investment conference organized by Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA). He also witnessed the signing of three MoUs between STZA with MasterCard, Galaxy racer (E-sports) and Shorooq Partners VC Funds.

He met the Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE, Sheikh Rashid Al Maktoum in a meeting held at the Leaders Pavilion of Dubai Expo 2020. Both dignitaries discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries in a range of fields including trade, investment, energy and agriculture, among others.

President Alvi congratulated the UAE’S Prime Minister on the successful inauguration of Dubai Expo 2020. Sheikh Rashid Al Maktoum presented his book ‘My Story’ to President Alvi.
