Belgium, 2nd September 2021 (TDI): President of the European Council, Charles Michel met the President of Slovenia, Borut Pahor. During the meeting, they discussed the future of Europe and ways to cope with the challenges arising from the Western Balkans before the great European Union Western Balkans Summit, which is scheduled later this year. The Western Balkans are an important part of the EU and the vision of greater European integration in the future.
President Michel thanked the Slovenian President, and Prime Minister, Janez Jansa, for arranging the Bled Strat Forum 2021. They affirmed their strong bilateral relations, and both agreed that by working together, both stood stronger than ever.
