Islamabad, 25 December 2023 (TDI): On the 147th birth anniversary of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, President Dr. Arif Alvi urged the nation to recommit to the principles of unity, faith, and discipline that were the bedrock of Pakistan’s creation.
“Today, we pay tribute to Quaid-i-Azam’s resilience, wisdom, and foresightedness in laying the foundation for a diverse and faith-driven nation,” said President Alvi.
“Let us honor his legacy by fostering unity, upholding democratic values, and striving for a prosperous and stronger Pakistan.”
The national day served as a reminder of the country’s remarkable journey, marked by challenges and triumphs. President Alvi commended the Pakistani people’s unwavering spirit in the face of adversity and highlighted the nation’s achievements in various fields.
“We stand on the cusp of commemorating this momentous occasion, reflecting on our decades-long journey,” he said. “Let us draw inspiration from Quaid-i-Azam’s principles and commit to building a just, free, and democratic Pakistan, true to his vision.”
In his message to the nation, President Alvi hailed Jinnah’s unwavering leadership in securing a separate homeland for Muslims based on the Two-Nation Theory.
He emphasized the enduring relevance of Jinnah’s vision for a tolerant and inclusive Pakistan, where people of all backgrounds could flourish.
The President further called for a renewed commitment to the Quaid’s vision of a tolerant and inclusive society. “The Quaid envisioned a Pakistan where people of all faiths and backgrounds could live together in peace and harmony.
Furthermore, the President urged we must uphold this precious ideal and ensure that every citizen feels safe and respected in the country.
Additional President Alvi urged the youth to learn from the Quaid’s life and leadership. He added, “Let us inspire a new generation of Pakistanis who embrace the Quaid’s ideals and strive to build a brighter future for our nation.
