Lahore, Pakistan – The Pakistan-Romania Business Council (PRBC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Pakistan-China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) to enhance economic collaboration and strengthen bilateral trade between Pakistan and Romania.
Speaking on the occasion, Atif Farooqi, Advisor and Chief Operating Officer of PRBC, emphasized the significance of this partnership, stating, “This partnership will unlock new opportunities for trade, investment, and growth, benefiting the people of our nations. With China being a key player in the global economy, we believe this collaboration will have a significant impact on regional trade and economic development.”
The signing ceremony was attended by PRBC Chairman Sohail Shamim Firpo, PCJCCI Senior Vice President Brig. (Retd.) Mansoor Saeed Sheikh SI(M), and Mr. Ahmad Ikram Lone, President PRBC North Chapter, along with other guests.
This MoU is signed in line of the Embassy of Romania in Pakistan and the PRBC’s MoU signed in July 2024 to enhance bilateral trade and economic collaboration between Romania and Pakistan.
The agreement was formally signed by Eduard-Robert Preda, Chargé d’Affaires of the Romanian Embassy, and Sohail Shamim Firpo, Chairman of PRBC.
Afterwards, the Romanian Embassy extended full support for PRBC’s initiatives to promote bilateral trade and investment opportunities, fostering stronger commercial ties.
This strategic partnership is expected to drive mutual economic growth, strengthen diplomatic ties, and open new avenues for trade and investment between the two countries.
