Islamabad (TDI): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Friday met with the Secretary General of the Muslim World League Sheikh Dr Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa at the Prime Minister’s Office in Islamabad.
During the meeting, the prime minister welcomed Dr Muhammad bin Abdul Karim to Pakistan and appreciated the Muslim World League’s collaboration in co-hosting the “International Conference on Girls’ Education in Muslim Countries”.
The two-day conference is scheduled for January 11-12 in Islamabad.
On the occasion, both leaders highlighted the enduring significance of this partnership and expressed confidence that the conference on girls’ education would send a strong message about the Muslim world’s commitment to promoting girls’ education.

PM Shehbaz praised Dr Al-Issa’s visionary leadership in advancing the true image of Islam globally, advocating for shared goals of the Muslim world, and fostering mutual respect and understanding among religions and civilizations.
The premier also thanked Dr Al-Issa for the decision to establish a Seerat Museum in Pakistan.
He assured that Pakistan will complete this significant project and other joint initiatives as quickly as possible.
The Secretary-General thanked the government of Pakistan for exceptional arrangements and cooperation in organizing the international conference on girls’ education.
Dr Al-Issa informed PM Shehbaz that the conference would culminate in the adoption of the “Islamabad Declaration” – a consensus-based document aimed at promoting girls’ education across Muslim countries.

He also noted the participation of leading scholars, educators, and experts from around the world, emphasizing the conference’s potential to address misconceptions surrounding women’s education and Islamophobia.
PM Shehbaz recalled Pakistan’s strong ties with Saudi Arabia and extended his best wishes to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.
During discussions on the Middle East, the prime minister condemned Israel’s ongoing aggression against innocent Palestinians and called on the international community to play a more effective role in addressing the situation.
