ISLAMABAD, (TDI): Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matvienko, called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at Prime Minister House on Tuesday.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the significant potential for cooperation between Pakistan and Russia across various sectors, which can be leveraged for mutual development.

The premier said that the recent visits by Russian leaders signify a positive trend in strengthening bilateral relations.
He expressed optimism that the upcoming meeting of the Pakistan-Russia Joint Commission in December would provide a valuable opportunity to enhance cooperation between the two nations.

The Prime Minister also extended his best wishes to Russian President Vladimir Putin and invited him to visit Pakistan soon.
The discussions included strengthening banking channels to promote trade and investment, as well as creating a comprehensive roadmap for economic collaboration between Pakistan and Russia.
