Islamabad (TDI): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday felicitated Prabowo Subianto after he took the oath as the eighth President of Indonesia.
The prime minister posted on X a message saying that Pakistan and Indonesia had enjoyed fraternal ties, rooted in shared values and mutual respect.

“I look forward to working closely with President Subianto to enhance our bilateral cooperation across all fields of mutual interest as well as to promote regional and global peace and security,” the prime minister said as the Indonesian President took oath.

Pakistan and Indonesia have a multifaceted ties including political, economic, trade, cultural, and defense cooperation.
Diplomatic ties between the two countries were established in 1950. They share common history and culture that ties between them are deeply rooted in mutual trust and confidence.
