Egypt: July 6, 2021(TDI): On 5th July, Egyptian Prime Minister Mr. Mostafa Madbouly thanked the Chinese Government for supporting Egypt in producing the COVID-19 vaccines.
Egypt has produced one million doses of the “Vacsera-Sinova” vaccine against COVID-19. The Egyptian Holding Company for Biological Products and Vaccine (VACSERA) is the first production of the Coronavirus vaccine in Egypt in cooperation with the Chinese SINOVAC.
The Chinese officials said that the cooperation between SINOVAC and VACSERA has been very smooth.
Egypt’s Prime Minister said that the Egyptian political leadership has raced against time to localize the dream of vaccine manufacture in Egypt and having an international Egyptian center for vaccines production. The vaccine production has put Egypt among the leading countries producing vaccines. The factory is equipped by the standards of WHO, and the requirements of the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA).
He added that in the light of the spread of the Corona Virus pandemic the world needs to consolidate and work fast to curb the outbreak and develop efficacious vaccines.
