Hanoi, 19 July 2021 (TDI): Philippine Ambassador to Vietnam (Meynardo LB. Montealegre) met with Vietnam’s Foreign Affairs Minister (Bui Thanh Son) on 13 July 2021 to commemorate the 45th Anniversary of Philippines-Vietnam Diplomatic Relations on 12 July 2021.
The relations of both sides continue to solidify their foundations and aimed to enhance relationships and cooperation in the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Further, Vietnam expressed to host the 10th Joint Commission on Bilateral Cooperation (JCBC) this year aimed to set goals and review developments to further strengthen their strategic partnership.
The Philippines also expressed its appreciation to the Vietnamese government as it continues supporting the country’s food security, as well as the consideration of Filipino nationals who are currently unable to return to the Philippines.
