Permanent Mission of Afghanistan to UN on 102nd Independence

New York, 20 August 2021 (TDI): On the 102nd Anniversary of Afghanistan’s Independence, the Permanent Mission of Afghanistan to the United Nations, led by Ghulam M. Isaczai, honored the Afghan people whose sacrifices led to the freedom and independence of Afghanistan.

The Mission underlined that Afghanistan is currently facing critical and tough times. The Afghan Mission, in this situation, is resolute and committed to the goal of free and democratic Afghanistan. The Mission further underscored that it will always show unswerving support for the protection of culture and Human rights in Afghanistan. With that, the Afghan Mission affirmed that it will stay dedicated to its role in United Nations. It is looking forward to working with the International Community for the prevalence of peace and justice in Afghanistan.

19th August marks the anniversary of the proclamation of Independence day of Afghanistan. Each year on this day, Afghanis all around the globe honor the sacrifices and martyrdom of their ancestors for the Independence of Afghanistan.
