Lahore, 28 August 2024 (TDI): Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the schedule for the Champions One-Day Cup which will run from September 12 to 29 in Faisalabad.
The newly launched white-ball tournament will feature Pakistan’s top 150 cricketers. The PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said on Monday that the selection of these players was done purely based on data.
The tournament will feature five Champions teams – Lions, Panthers, Stallions, Wolves, and Dolphins. Each of them will be mentored by Waqar Younis, Misbah ul Haq, Shoaib Malik, Sarfaraz Ahmed and Saqlain Mushtaq.
The tournament will be played in a single-league format. All matches will start at 3 pm, except for the Sept 16 encounter between Lions and Panthers, which will begin at 09:30 am. The final of the event will be played on Sunday, Sept 29.
