Pakistan’s National Security Adviser meets Uzbek Counterpart


Dushanbe, 18 September 2021 (TDI): National Security Advisor of Pakistan, Mooed W. Yusuf met with the National Security Advisor of Uzbekistan, Lieutenant General Victor Makhmudov.

The agenda of the meeting was to carry out discussions on the SCO Summit. Mooed Yusuf stated that Pakistan and Uzbekistan have reached an agreement on a protocol for a joint security commission. This will help boost bilateral cooperation in the sector. Gen. Victor Makhmudov has been formally invited to Islamabad for the signing of the protocol and the commission’s first meeting.

Both sides expressed pleasure with the extent of bilateral collaboration within international organizations. They reaffirmed their determination to continue to assist one another in the UN, SCO, OIC, ECO, and other international organizations.
